Decent Italians in Town

Olive Hill
This is a nice place to go for a special date or any other reason that calls for a place with ambiance. Their menu is more or less upscale Italian, and their Caesar salad in particular is very good. Olive Hill is located near Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education and is a bit pricy compared to common Italian restaurants. However, this place is quite known to Daejeonites for good food. You can also enjoy screen golf if you are a golf mania. (042) 486-1831

Cin-cin
This is a nice Italian place situated a few blocks back from Milano 21. The place has ambiance, and the menu includes brick oven thin-crust pizzas, pastas, a variety of meat and seafood dishes, and fresh salads. The staff speaks basic English, and the manager speaks excellent English. You can even get a little stamp card to get a free salad or pasta after so many purchases. From Milano 21: Follow the main pedestrian street , and turn right at the third street. Cin-cin is on the right after you turn.

There are two branches in Daejeon.

Gran Piatto
This is another Italian restaurant which is quite inexpensive compared to others. Their Chicken Caesar Salad is great with their own made dressing. Gran Piatto is located in Tanbangdong and is not too far from Lotte Department Store. Because the restaurant is not visible from any of the big streets nearby, it might be a better idea to ask anyone around for ¡®Gran Piatto, Italian Restaurant'.
