Ready to Begin: September 2010 Orientation

Support Team
According to the policy that was announced on Dec. 30, 2009 by the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology (MEST), all Guest English Teachers (GETs) have to complete at least 60 hours of mandatory training within their first year of working in Korea.
To implement this policy, the EPIK Support Team is conducting various orientations. Three different orientations were already held to support about 1,000 new GETs in August. In addition, there will be two more orientations: one in September, and the other in October. About 150 Guest English Teachers from 13 provincial offices of Education will take part in the upcoming September orientation from the 25th to the 30th of this month. This orientation will be taken place at the National Institute for International Education(NIIED) in Seoul.
Some new arrivals to Korea and some who have arrived in advance will participate together in this orientation and share their ideas and memories.
