- February 2020 Orientation

This February, we welcomed a new intake of EPIK teachers and TaLK scholars. We had the opportunity to provide participants with training for conducting EFL classes and a chance to get familiar with Korean culture.





Despite the difficult circumstances caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, we were able to complete the orientations successfully thanks to the cooperation of all participating scholars and teachers, as well as the support of the amazing orientation staff. To the EPIK teachers and TaLK scholars of the Spring 2020 intake, we hope your time in Korea is full of great memories and unforgettable experiences. We wish you well in your teaching endeavors.



- UC Davis Global Learning Conference

Before this outbreak, we were lucky to be participated in the UC Davis’ Global Learning Conference to promote EPIK & TaLK programs to educators in California, USA. The event was held on February 29 at the UC Davis International Center.





- Orientation Standards Manual Development Seminar

To provide new EPIK teachers and TaLK scholars with a better experience and with practical skills, NIIED is currently working on the development of a standards manual for future orientation. Since it has been over a decade that we have operated EPIK and TaLK programs, we hope this development will recharge and bring about fresh ideas to the orientations. We also will be able to implement a standard system of lectures with the same quality at every orientation.

The seminar was taken place on May 19 at the NIIED, with nearly 20 lecturers present to develop and review the standards manual. We will evaluate and make upgrades year by year, and the 1st version will be applied starting this year August intake.
